Saturday, October 12, 2019 – Day 25: I am extremely grateful for having completed the challenge. I got caught up, i.e., not mindful, on the last day of the challenge and almost missed posting points. I am pretty regular about when I post my points so the weekend start let me astray as I decided not to get up at 3 AM, rather to sleep into 5 AM.…[Read more]

    • Thank you for sharing Pam! I am glad that your time did not “runneth out” :). I too keep a little book–actually 2 little journals–at my desk. The one of the right is for daily journaling a few thoughts like what will success look like today, or what I’m grateful for. The left journal is for jotting down what I make for dinner every night. Keep…[Read more]

The best part of the challenge is that I always carry something new forward with me! Focusing my stretching and meditation, rather than just fitting it in, has really helped me this challenge.

Wednesday, October 9, 2019 – Day 22: I am grateful today to have a wonderful family, including three incredible sisters and two awesome brothers. I will see two of the five the weekend of October 18th in Delaware. We are staying in Bethany for the weekend. I haven’t been in years, since my parents sold their house. We grew up going to the…[Read more]

Tuesday, October 8, 2019 – Day 21: This day will be successful if I am able to negotiate through all of the items that I need to complete today, work wise, and still find time for all the things I want to do challenge wise. I have to leave the house shortly to start my day, so I went for a very, very early 4 mile walk just to get some exercising…[Read more]

Monday, October 7, 2019 – Day 20: This day will be successful if some of the personnel actions that I take at work are appreciated. I would also be extremely grateful for the appreciation though I expect none. One of the non-perks! I am gladdened by the fact that this is meditation and gratitude week. I was able to spend some time meditating…[Read more]

Sunday, October 6, 2019 – Day 19: This day will be successful if I can meet my challenge goals, get in a long walk, clean the house, and start my holiday baking. The day dawned with an early morning long walk with my husband in Greenbriar and Rocky Run Stream Parks. We got in 4 miles! It was wonderful walking through the woods which were oh so…[Read more]

Friday, October 4, 2019 – Day 17: My goal for Friday was just to make it through the day and to ensure that I met my sleeping, exercise, alcohol, food, stretching, and meditation goals. It was a busy day for me work wise and I had a dinner commitment with an employee who had come in from out of town two weeks to work with us here in Northern…[Read more]

Thursday, October 2, 2019 – Day 16: My goal for Thursday was to meet all my food goals as well as to get the necessary sleep, exercise, stretching, and meditation in sometime during the day. Always a challenge. Most goals were met; got in a 4 mile walk which made me happy. Traffic is still stymieing me. It is taking way toooooo long to get…[Read more]

Wednesday, October 2, 2019 – Day 15: Back in the saddle again. Wednesday was a successful day as I was able to look past the Nats victory and get back to working on my small victories.
