We’re getting ready to enter Week 3 of the Challenge — that means we’ve only got two more weeks to go!

Is the Challenge starting to feel really long? Have you been forgetting to sign in lately? Maybe you just don’t care as much any more and you’re starting to focus on when the challenge is going to end.

In the overall scope of our lives four weeks isn’t much time!

Close your eyes, project yourself forward two weeks and envision how proud you’re going to feel after you’ve given this your ALL.

Remember it’s called a CHALLENGE for a reason!

You know that point in a workout where it starts to get really hard and you begin to wonder if you can keep going? This is when you dig deep and tell yourself, “I think I can. I think I can. I KNOW I can.”

In order for us to change we must not give up. We have to stay strong.

Don’t let your mind tell you it doesn’t matter whether you complete the Challenge or not.

Don’t give into the temptations and go back to your comfortable place eating junk food and finding excuses not to exercise.

Don’t get weak and rationalize that finishing isn’t that big of a deal. It IS a big deal. Keep focusing on what’s best for you because your health DOES matter.

Do remember why you signed up for the Total Wellness Challenge. You wanted change.

Stay the course. You can do it!

It’s a fast-paced, global, 24/7 connected world we live in. We check our email first thing in the morning, then move on to our social media. We have our phones with us all the time. Many of us are always on call…if not for business, then for friends and family.

It can be quite a challenge to live in the moment when we’re rushing from one thing to the next and constantly multi-tasking. It’s crazy and we all know it!

When was the last time you stopped what you were doing in the middle of the day, disconnected, closed your eyes and listened to your breathing? How often do we remind ourselves to appreciate the moment, to enjoy what we have right here, right now?

In one recent study, a group of 50 people nearing the end of their lives were asked: If you could live your life over again what would you do differently? The number one answer was: I would reflect more upon my life. I would be more consciously aware.

Our lifestyle challenge this week is to take 5-10 minutes each day to relax, unplug and check in with ourselves.

Close your eyes to meditate on your own or using guided meditation. Check on you tube or search for apps.
Read something inspirational to help you reflect on your own life.
Listen to relaxing music; close your eyes and check in with your breathing
Really anything that helps you relax is good.
