Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- Olive oil
- 1 shallot minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano use whatever herbs you have on hand
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons Worchester sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon filtered water
- Sea salt and pepper to taste
Avocado Crema
- 1/2 ripe avocado
- 1 tablespoon plain yogurt not fat-free
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
Pinch of sea salt

Directions
- Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a small skillet and saute the minced shallot for a few minutes until soft. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl combine all the ingredients including the shallots. Mix well with fork or your hands.
- Form into 4 medium sized patties and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Reheat the skillet with another tablespoon of oil and cook the burgers on medium heat about 5 minutes per side. Remove from heat and let rest.
- Serve with topping of choice: Dijon mustard, smashed avocado, hummus or avocado crema.
- To Make the Avocado Crema
- Whisk all ingredients together in a small bowl until smooth.
- Suggested side dish: oven roasted broccoli with olive oil and lemon juice and a large green salad with red onions and mini roasted peppers.
